I have been shooting a lot of images right off the road and in my backyard during the time that we have been dealing with the COVID-19.  I have really enjoyed the new to me Canon 70D.   This is a simple pic of a pretty boring robin.  What I enjoy is the detail that I am able to capture even with the kit lens that came with my old T3.

Robins are very popular birds both here in North America, as well as in Europe. In fact, it is the national bird of Great Britain! The male American Robin sings the most beautiful tune… he is often the last bird heard as the sun sets. The American Robin is the state bird for Connecticut, Michigan, and Wisconsin. info from www.perkeypet.com

I haven't been able to go to some of the places that I have wanted to while we are all dealing with the stay at home recommendations I have been using my new to me Canon 70D to shoot some backyard wildlife.  I really enjoy the frames per second that  I can shoot with this camera.

Red Tail Hawk

Red Tail Hawk. This hawk hangs out near my home.  I was on my way to an appointment and traveling with my Canon 70d. I stopped and it was hanging out on the branch of the tree. this shot is just after it decided to fly off from the tree. I was able to with the 70D to take a series of shots as i tracked and filled up the buffer.  I did this a couple of times and ended up with about 40shots that I was pleased with.  This is one of my favorites though.

Photo of the day.  This was from a social distancing drive that I took along Clear Creek in Bloomington, Indiana.  The Beaver took a swim and grazed near the Den for about an hour on this day.  I believe that it is a female, but I am not sure. I will go back more frequently and check up on them. If it is a female, she may be getting ready to have some "kits" and would be exciting to see the little ones as well.
